"bent": In celebration of my 68th birthday I went to South Bass Island, Ohio for a week from September 5 - 12, 2021.  I stayed in a cabent, a combination cabin/tent - mainly a tent by virtue of its roof.  Not having any friends who would go with me I was alone in accomodations for 4.  I took a few things with me recently purchased at a thrift store that included a mini-guitar.  It was my intention to make a movie called "bent" in honor of the last 4 letters of "cabent".  It was also my intention to technically manipulate the images post-production to make them bent.  Other than that I had no plan.  Once I got there it immediately struck me that I felt like I was in exile for being a Thought Criminal & the plot improvisationally grew from there.  The thought of "bent" as a character assassination defamation of myself deepened the meaning.  What became the challenge for me was to take my vacation & add a parallel meaning to it that expressed both my sense of isolation & my critique of society as it stands now.  It's my feeling that I was very successful.  Some might be tempted to mock me by saying that I was actually on drugs &/or actually 'going insane'.  Such is not the case.  The 'vices' I indulged in, such as they were, were things I don't usually permit myself such as wine, sugar, soft cheese, & pizza.  No psychotropics were actually involved nor was I experiencing any dementia.  I WAS acting to create simultaneous worlds: one in which I expressed actual philosophical analysis & another in which I pretended to communicate through a "Turtle Retina Scanner", etc.  As a movie shot in 6 days & edited in another 6 days I find this to be one of my more remarkable accomplishments.  If I were to die soon after its completion it would make an excellent 'swan song', not only because I got to say so much of importance in it but also because it's a somewhat in-depth study of my exploring an instrument (mini-guitar) with imagination & a manifestation of my abilities to improvise in general & to then use decades-long-in-development moviemaking skills.  - September 19, 2021E.V. notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
